The Force of Nature Series invokes the power and intensity of the Northern California Coastline, it is a stunning collection that combines top quality photography and fine art. The series was created to showcase extreme moments in nature with custom art and is produced using the finest materials in limited edition numbers.
The Artist’s signature confirms that the finest materials have been used in every one of a kind, hand-produced Masterwork on Canvas edition. A Masterwork consists of hand- painted enhancements, using oil paint to increase brightness and intensify color. Once dry, the artist applies multiple coats to the canvas to create texture, depth and brush strokes. The result of this technique intensifies light in the print and creates a sense of movement throughout the masterworks on canvas pieces.
“Art should in its simplest form elicit curiosity and a thoughtful discussion with one’s self or a group of viewers. The subject matter and beauty should draw a viewer into the composition and awaken the imagination.”
As day begins and dawn turns to light, only two sit waiting. The thunderous sounds heard in the dim light slowly begin to make sense. The loud explosions become real. Experience and wisdom help to put them there, but for magic to happen, nature must deliver with focused energy, the highs and lows and all the distance in-between. With this absolute combination the first chase can begin.
There is an old saying, that only one perfect line exists, one that fits the graceful rhythm and the balance of a single wave. The artist knows that line better than most, understanding that before grace manifests itself, there is a time of aspiration, preparation and commitment. The balance between skill, flow and ease is a simple mark of his signature style. Tony's inspiration for this work was from a quote that he likes, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”
Heroic traditions and philosophies have been passed down for thousands of years. At one time, it was believed that fate controlled destiny. Unpredictable positions in nature were nearly impossible to survive. With fortitude, skill and determination, one could push forward into situations and at times prevail. There will always be two outcomes: surrender to fate or conquer the force of nature with valor.
Decades have passed since the first story was told. Many have answered the call and many more have thoughts of noteworthy brave and masterful deeds. In turn, the next generation will produce its own spellbinding storytellers.
Envision the swells traveling through the sea, pushed by the winds a thousand miles away. Nothing in its path, rolling seamlessly in complete solitude. The rider sits calmly, waiting for the inherent energy to meet the shore. As their paths meet, they become entwined, nature turns fierce and he becomes anxious. Within minutes of their separation, solitude returns. Tony's inspiration for Solitude is from the quote,“There is a wilderness we walk alone, however well-companioned.”
Further back than the ancients, are the stones of the sea and shore. Their preeminent stature in the oceans sits between hope and abandonment. Their beauty is harsh and wild, and the motion around them is ever changing. Although there is stillness in the rocks, silence does not exist.
The power of will and the courage to succeed propels beyond the warnings. To resist danger is intuitive. Greater is the need for personal achievement, pushing forward and facing nearly impossible challenges. The memories will always be stronger when the warnings have been considered, but surpassed.
According to ancient mythology, scriptures and mantras, it has long been believed the sun is the soul of the Universe and water is its body. The elements together add brightness, knowledge, and endurance that help illuminate and maintain the path. Balance between them promotes a perfect harmony.
Simplicity, texture, lighting and color all add up to perfection.
